Hubert Kowalczyk and Jaroslaw Hryniuk have announced their plans for the 2025 rally season

Hubert Kowalczyk and Jaroslaw Hryniuk have announced their plans for the 2025 rally season.

Fight for ERC glory!
He picked up his driver’s license in the last days of 2021, and just three months later he made his debut on special stages, joining forces with Jarek Hryniuk. Hubert Kowalczyk’s motorsport careerresembles jumping in seven-mile boots. He finished his debut season (Peugeot 208 R2) with the title of second runner-up in the 4R2 class. In 2023 (Peugeot 208 Rally4), he battled to the finish line for the Rally4 title, ultimately coming home with silver. Last year’s campaign was by far the sweetest chord – Kowalczyk and Hryniuk (first Poles in Clio Rally3) made their dreams come true, taking home the coveted Polish Championship laurels (Rally3). The Green Olive team is facing another arch challenge today. Hubert and Jarek are sailing into wide waters, announcing a fight in the…. European Rally Championship!

The have already had a taste of the old continental battle – in 2024 they made three, guest
appearances in the ERC series. This year they will go “all the way,” appearing at the start of all, eight rounds. The 2025 campaign will be inaugurated with a visit to Andalusia (Rally Sierra Morena in Cordoba). The Renault Clio Rally3 crew will also visit Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Czech Republic, Wales and Croatia. Their pearl in the crown of the European Championship will be June’s home appearance in Mazury. The rallying forefront of the FIA ERC championship will arrive in Poland in mid-June. In addition to the “full-time‘’ battle in Europe, Kowalczyk and Hryniuk are not forgetting their fans. The Polish champions also intend to appear at selected rounds of their home series.
Hubert Kowalczyk:

“I have been waiting for a long time to share with you my plans for the season. Today I can already announce it with pride. One of the toughest, most interesting and important challenges is ahead of us – we are going to fight on the special stages of the European Rally Championship series!

2024 has given us many beautiful moments. We fulfilled dreams, we won, at the end we managed to put on the red and white RSMP championship sash…. We learned a lot, also learning from our  failures and mistakes. After three appearances in the FIA ERC, I felt that this was my place, that I was already ready to face the European top. The European Championship attracts, and I’m glad that it will be our priority this year.

I realize that there will be a really strong field competing for ERC3 class. There will be the old-timers, the young wolves, and quite a few crews from Poland. Above all, I’d like to find out where I belong, check our speed and ability to adapt to more difficult, changing conditions. Regardless o four positions in the table, we are not going to let up. It’s going to be a strong season, keep your fingers crossed!”.

Jarosław Hryniuk:
The competition in this year’s European Rally Championship series promises to be extremely  interesting! We are expecting strong competition and several strong crews from ‘our backyard’, so I am even more looking forward to the first round in April. I’m looking forward to every rally on the calendar – there are a few novelties like the Royal Scandinavian Rally, the Sierra Morena Rally or the Welsh Ceredigion, we’ll also return to our beloved Roma di Capitale and the cult “Barumka‘’. It remains to prepare decently for the upcoming season, we are in for quite an adventure. We hopethat it will be another fruitful season in our performance, see you there!”.

Champions Campaign 2024

Last year was a breakthrough in the career of the young driver from Olesnica in western-south Poland. Hubert won two gold medals – first he won the Lower Silesia Rally Championship series Polish champions stand up to fight in Europe! Kowalczyk and Hryniuk in the ERC (PRO1 category), and a week later he won the coveted laurel of the Polish champion in category 3.

Most importantly, the 20-year-old took his first steps on the Old Continent, finishing twice on the podium (Rally di Roma Capitale, Silesia). Kowalczyk and Hryniuk showed that they can fight as equals with the European top.

Hubert triumphed in eight events – winning four rounds of the Polish Championship (Świdnicki Rally, Nadwiślański Rally, Małopolska Rally and Rzeszów Rally) and four rallies included in thecalendar of the Lower Silesian championship (8th Tech-Mol Rally, 1st TEC2000 Rally, 6th  Turbojulita Rally, 6th Mihel Rally Radków). The icing on the cake was the debut in the World Championship – the Green Olive proteges competed in the prestigious 80th Orlen Rally of Poland. Hubert has repeatedly said that patience and humility are the most important things in rallying. The Green Olive team therefore does not want to make any bullish promises. However, no matter how many crews face off in the battle for the ERC3 titles, Hubert and Jarek have no intention of letting up. The goals are simple – the finish line of all rounds and…. fighting for a medal !
